Thanks for visiting my website. I'm Julie, baker, creator and sugar flower maker at Julie Scrumptious Cake Design. Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved to make pretty things and would sit for hours being creative, whether that was drawing or making models out of Fimo (who else remembers that stuff?).
I am a self-confessed perfectionist, but in this industry I think that can only be a good thing, right? Making sugar flowers has become a passion of mine and I absolutely love them.
When I'm not creating wedding cakes I love spending time with family and friends. I am Mum to two boys, married to hubby, Rory, and auntie to many nieces and nephews. Making cakes for all the little people in my life was where the caking journey began!
Living in a house of boys, my cake studio is my little sanctuary of calm. I love putting some music on and working away whilst creating something beautiful.
I have been a huge lover of weddings for as long as I can remember and am such a romantic at heart.
One of the best parts of making wedding cakes is meeting the couple getting married, hearing their story and playing a small part in their special day. I’m always on such a high following a consultation. Design ideas flying around my mind and getting excited about creating a truly gorgeous cake.
I absolutely love what I do and have a real passion for making elegant, beautiful and, let’s not forget, delicious cakes.
